Project Scope: The Caravanserai was built in 1609 by Ekmekcizade Ahmed Pasha by order of Ahmed I. Its architect is known to be Sedefkar Mehmet Ağa. The Caravanserai is located in Edirne city centre, on a total area of 6.500 m², of which 3.700 m² is closed and 2.800 m² is open. It is a registered monumental building, built with ashlar stonework, brick and wood.
The building is divided into three separate sections. The first section consists of two large rectangular-planned spaces and covered with a double sloping wooden roof. The second section consists of a large courtyard in front of the main building and the third section is a series of shops surrounding the courtyard from the outside.
In this context, Yasemin Saygıner acted as the Quality Control Manager on behalf of the contractor.
