Project Scope: The Restoration of Houses component of the Rehabilitation of Fener and Balat Programme had a budget of seven million Euros as announced in 2003.

The scope of the project was to restore the old buildings, create a social center, rehabilitate the Balat Bazaar and implement the solid waste system, prevent gentrification and rehabilitate the environment together with the social fabric.
The aim of the project is to apply best methods and techniques of conservation of historic buildings to comply with universal standards.

The Rehabilitation of Fener and Balat Neighborhoods Project had a budget of seven million Euros as announced in 2003. Within the scope of the project, it was aimed to restore the old buildings, create a social center, rehabilitate the Balat Bazaar and implement the solid waste system, prevent gentrification and rehabilitate the environment together with the social fabric.

In this context, 84 houses, 33 shops, Dimitri Kantemir house and garden and a house to be used as a Social Center were restored in the project, which was carried out in three phases.

Y.Sayginer acted as Project Coordinator on behalf of the contractor and was the responsible for the completion of the whole project.
