The building was originally built as a 5-storey masonry building, an old Greek mansion, on the hill behind the Tarabya hotel. The year of construction is estimated at the beginning of the 20th century. The building, which was empty for years, was damaged due to the fire in the neighborhood and after that it was thoroughly worn out by external factors. Very little has survived of its original elements. For this, many elements have been reproduced with the details in accordance with the original.

After the seismic retrofitting the restoration of the building, the interior and garden design could be implemented.
